By combining the antifouling properties of tetra-ethylene glycol and the dynamics of self assembled monolayer formation on gold surfaces we were able to measure extremely low equilibrium affinity constants for nucleoprotein complex formation between PFV-1 Integrase (IN) and a DNA target leading to a deeper insight into specific recognition mechanisms.
